In the past MLMers were told to:
- Duplicate the upline
- Consider anyone within 3 feet of you as a warm prospect
- Believe that anyone can do be successful even without any sales training
- Just join–all the hard work will be done for you by the upline or the system
If you weren’t succeeding you were usually told that your “vision” wasn’t strong enough or you just didn’t believe in the process enough. All you needed to do was write and draw your vision and then post it around yu everywhere until you believed–and you would be successful.
Network Marketers have become discouraged and the world of MLM has suffered because of such ambiguous statements being foisted off on new recruits.
One of the most important issues that a distributor faces is the necessity of creating a constant stream of prospects. If you cannot maintain a consistent supply of business leads, your vision and belief in yourself are irrelevant and yur business will suffer and fail.
Trying to convince friends, family and strangers to join your business is not professional and often tarnishes your relationships. Your success rate will be low and most network marketers get discouraged and quit because the process is difficult. This is the main cause of the high attrrition rate in the MLM arena.
The 3 foot rule that you should consider everyone within 3 feet of you as a prospect is another of the MLM lies and will cause stress and the feeling of failure because of the negative response you get.
The power of the internet reaches around the globe and is a perfect tool to use to attract prospects to your business. The main challenge is learning how to promote your business to the online communities.
Network Marketers are told that anyone can run an MLM business–just get your website and they will come. That is another of the great MLM lies. Without learning how to attract targeted prospects, no one ever finds your website.
The application of attraction marketing methods online can be easily learned with training. Using this method you will find success much more quickly and without all the stress of cold calling or attacking everyone who comes within 3 feet.
