Is Philip Rivers The Next Tom Brady?

I was watching the NFL network and they had a segment with Kevin Acee from the SD Union Tribune and a sports reporter from the Boston Globe.

The guy from the Boston Globe said…

“If you look at Rivers…The intesnity that Philip Rivers is playing with early in his career very much reminds me of Tom Brady when he was younger. Let’s not forget that the NFL used that video of Tom Brady getting in John Mobley’s (of the Denver Broncos) face after a play as a basis for creating the taunting penalty. That was the video they constanly showed.”

Brady averaged about an 85 – 86 QB Rating each of their first two seasons and both regressed a little bit in their second year:

Rivers 2006 – 92.0, 2007 – 82.4
Brady 2001 – 86.5, 2002 – 85.7

So with both having the same problem of talking Too Much and having similar stats, is Philip Rivers really the next coming of Brady as the reporter from the Boston Globe said last night?
